That's actually hanging above my desk! It's a private commission I had Jim do several years ago. It's absolutely beautiful. The four characters pictured are the main PCs in the original group I ran that went through the entire GDQ series, I thought it would be cool to have the original artist do a "retake" on the classic Q1 cover with my player's characters as the stars. As you can see it turned out great. And I agree I think it looks better than the original!!!

ReplyDeleteIs this the original? The signature seems to say "ROSLOF '09" (or '07), in the same style as his work in Curtis' Dungeon Alphabet.
