Yeah not sold at all myself. Story looks very paint-by-numbers, acting seems weak and surprisingly the production values don't look all that impressive either. Barsoom still looks no different than Arizona, except when it's so-so CGI.
I still like the version in my head better. I agree with much of what GrayPumpkin said and I just hate the fact that Disney's magic kingdom rears it's head. But I'm still gonna go see it just 'cause it's John Carter!
