Do people still roll for treasure? You can change the % chance of getting a magic item vs gem/jewelry, so it's also useful for getting a randomized item if you want to include one in a treasure parcel, even if you don't strictly randomize all treasure.

http://foont.net/swords-and-wizardry/tools/Brianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18207057090198925089noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3094065222299992956.post-50339727113032699742011-03-07T12:43:40.862-08:002011-03-07T12:43:40.862-08:00Interesting review; I have to admit that S&W C...Interesting review; I have to admit that S&W Complete is what finally sold me on S&W. Previously I had seen the Core version which I thought would work well as an introductory game but lacked the extra features I wanted. I do agree that the Complete rules could have used more elaboration on extra-planar adventuring than is offered within, but so far the optional rules features have been a real success in my gaming group, which picked and chosed from what everyone liked the most. As for the multi-classing....can't really comment; even back in the day I ditched class/race restrictions by and large, and the S&W Wednesday group has done the same. As for the cover I quite liked it, but I'm also an old Lovercraft fan so there ya go.Tori Bergquisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02586371999646337047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3094065222299992956.post-50114772998198341232011-03-06T15:34:34.721-08:002011-03-06T15:34:34.721-08:00Actually I use a melange of editions and retro-clo...Actually I use a melange of editions and retro-clones in play.Thomas Denmarkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06135075012362548876noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3094065222299992956.post-14766482113575831632011-03-06T09:48:54.813-08:002011-03-06T09:48:54.813-08:00S&W core, with some Labyrinth Lord and Advance...S&W core, with some Labyrinth Lord and Advanced Edition Companion.Thomas Denmarkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06135075012362548876noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3094065222299992956.post-68168181076239711262011-03-06T00:58:39.865-08:002011-03-06T00:58:39.865-08:00So I take it that you'll be sticking with S&am...So I take it that you'll be sticking with S&W 'core'?Akrasiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08734103159691571156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3094065222299992956.post-56419075998227665752011-03-05T16:33:53.470-08:002011-03-05T16:33:53.470-08:00Thanks for the review, Thomas. I think I'll just stick with my S&W Whitebox.Sean Robsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16429301144221551751noreply@blogger.com
